On the tranquil evening of June 21st, the world celebrated International Yoga Day, a momentous occasion to embrace the ancient practice that promotes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. This year, amidst the serene surroundings of the PRJ Care Foundation, children gathered eagerly to partake in yoga sessions guided by Rajni Joshi, the dedicated founder of the NGO with a deep passion for yoga. The event, which took place from 6:30 PM until sunset, was not only about stretching limbs and finding balance but also about fostering a deeper connection with oneself and understanding the essence of yoga.
Following the invigorating yoga session, Dr. Rekha, an MBBS MD doctor specializing in holistic health, delivered an enlightening speech on the significance of yoga in our daily lives. She emphasized how yoga isn't merely a physical exercise but a holistic approach to wellness, benefiting not just the body but also the mind and soul. Dr. Aradhana, another MBBS doctor, shared insights into scientific studies highlighting yoga's positive effects on stress reduction, improving concentration, and overall health. The children listened intently, absorbing Dr. Rekha and Dr. Aradhana's words with a sense of wonder. Many shared stories of how practicing yoga had helped them feel calmer during challenging times or more focused while studying.
As the event drew to a close, Rajni Joshi led the group in a peaceful meditation, guiding them to reflect on the day's experiences and set intentions for incorporating yoga into their daily routines. The children closed their eyes, breathing deeply, and feeling a sense of calm wash over them—a testament to the transformative power of yoga. In conclusion, celebrating International Yoga Day at the PRJ Care Foundation was more than just a commemoration; it was a journey of self-discovery, community building, and inspiration. Through the gentle guidance of Rajni Joshi and the insightful words of Dr. Rekha and Dr. Aradhana, the children not only learned yoga poses but also imbibed the deeper principles of mindfulness, resilience, and inner peace.
